I started working with nonprofits because they made me feel good. I have kept doing it because I realized that my blend of skills is particularly helpful for organizations that don’t have the resources or need for a full-time marketing or publicity person, who need extra arms and legs at specific times in their fundraising cycle, or who need to be trained in the best way to handle the organization’s public relations efforts. For nonprofit clients, I start by discussing their overall goals and then come up with areas where I can provide either resources or completed work.
